          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">Following to the previous paper, nutritive values of shark meal prepared by the ordinary method were examined in the present paper. The meal of great blue shark (Prionace glaucus) and of needle dogfish ( Centrophorus sp.) were prepared by the usual method as in the fish meal industry and were given to rats. The protein scores to casein were 70 and 87, respectively and the values were in the same order as in the previous study. A/E, E/TA and E/T ratios and egg score were calculated by the result of amino acid analysis. According to the assumption that chemical score of protein is affected by E/T ratio and egg score, the chemical score of each sample meal was calculated by the following equation ; Chemical score = (E/T of a sample meal/E/T of casein) × (egg score of a sample/egg score of casein) × 100 The values were 67 for great blue shark meal and 81 for needle dogfish meal, and roughly agreed with those by PER mentioned above. This fact indicates the correctness of the above assumption. Thus low nutritive value of shark meal have to be explained by high content of non-protein nitrogenous components and stroma protein.</datacite:description>
