タイランド湾で採集した円心珪藻の１新種 A New Centric Diatom from the Gulf of Thailand Boonyapiwat, Sopana Exploratory Fishing Division Takano, Hideaki 高野, 秀昭 タカノ, ヒデアキ Takano 高野 タカノ Hideaki 秀昭 ヒデアキ metadata only access A large centric diatom Thalassiosira thailandica BOONYAPIWAT sp. nov. is described on specimens collected from the Gulf of Thailand. The peculiar chains are formed by attaching the valves of adjacent cells close together. Numerous strutted processes are scattered all over the valve. One strutted process is always found near the central areola and a row of marginal strutted processes is present. One small labiate process exists close to the valve edge in radial orientation. バンコクの近くのチァオフィア入江で1983年6月に網採集した標本の中に,中型で円盤形の海産珪藻の1種が多数あった。蓋殻には有基突起が多数あり,初めPorosira 属のものかと思われたが,中心部には区画された中心域がなく,中心小室のすぐそばには必ず1本の有基突起があるので,Thalassiosira 属の新種として命名記述した。また,本種と他の類似4種との形態を比較検討した(Table 1)。Thalassiosira thailandica BOONYAPIWAT sp. nov.
