          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">The Wistar strain male rats were pair-fed diets containing either 15% of casein or 19% of fish meal as portein source, isonitrogenously, and 7% of lard or 5% of lard plus 2% of either soybean oil or sardine oil, and 0.5% of cholesterol and 0.1% of bile salt for 31 days. The following results were obtained: each of the fish meal diets remarkabely lowered plasma cholesterol levels in rats compared with the corresponding casein diet, while the supplemented lipid sources made littie difference on the cholesterol levels.</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description xml:lang="ja" descriptionType="Abstract">餌料のたん白質源をカゼインあるいはフィッシュミールとし,脂質としてラードか又はラードの一部を大豆油,イワシ油で代替して用い,且つ飼料はコレステロール0.5%,胆汁酸塩0.1%を含有する条件で,ラットを用いる飼育試験を並行給与により31日間行った。フィッシュミール三群には対応するカゼイン三群に比べ血中コレステロール含量の明らかな低下が見られた。</datacite:description>
