Gathering fish was observed mainly with automatic television systems during the daytime. Dominant fish species were Apogon semilineatus, Parapristipoma trilieneatum and Evynnis japonica. On the other hand, in scuba diving observation dominant ones were Apogon semilineatus, Chromis notatus and Ditrema temmincki. The number of fish observed in television systems varied with diurnal time and with position of the reef. At the station 7, fish seemed to increase from noon with the change of the tidal current direction. The maximum number of gathering fish was about 10,000 individuals per 1,000 m3 by estimation from the observed volume on the television camera.
