茨城県川尻沖底層流速調査 (2) Investigation on the Characteristics of Bottom Layer Flow off Kawajiri in Ibaraki Prefecture- II 80116946 Takeuchi, Tomoyuki 武内, 智行 タケウチ, トモユキ Takeuchi 武内 タケウチ Tomoyuki 智行 トモユキ metadata only access Field data on bottom layer flow were obtained for a period of about two years off Kawajiri in Ibaraki prefecture in Japan. The observation point was 140°59. 56 'E, 36°38.67 'N, twenty and several kilometers off the coast of Kawajiri city and the depth was 130 m. A current meter was placed 2 m above the bottom with mooring. The sampling intervals were five minutes, and the instrument was recovered and newly set up every month. The results are as follows : (1) The main flow direction was north or south along a contour line, and the south direction was most prominent. (2) The maximum velocity was 73 cm/s in raw data, 53 cm/s in hourly averaged data. (3) Diurnal tide was distinguished and the frequency of a few days or about a month was noted.
