混合水域における表層性動物プランクトンの分布とサンマ稚幼魚の餌生物 70443364 Kotani, Yuichi 小谷, 祐一 コタニ, ユウイチ Kotani 小谷 コタニ Yuichi 祐一 ユウイチ Kosaka, Sunao 小坂, 淳 コサカ, スナオ Kosaka 小坂 コサカ Sunao 淳 スナオ metadata only access A cruise aboard the research vessel Shunyo-maru was carried out to investigate the distribution of fish schools and the ecology of the Pacific saury (Cololabis saira) in the Northeastern Sea of Japan from May 19 to June 1, 1981. Zooplankton samples were collected by horizontal tows with a Clarke Jet Net, 1 m below the surface. Copepods and Euphausiids were the dominant organisms in this area. Calanus pacificus, Paracalanus parvus, Clausocalanus spp. and Acartia clausi were important constituents of the copepod population. The composition of the copepod population differed between in the northern and in the southern part of the front formed by the northward branch of Kuroshio current, and biomass was larger in the northern part than in the southern part. Analysis of the gut contents of various sized fish collected with a High-speed Net showed that Copepods were the main food organisms of fish. Fish above 100 mm in body length fed upon a variety of organisms.
