日本海南西海域における“底部冷水”の底魚類への影響 Moriwaki, Shimpei 森脇, 晋平 モリワキ, シンペイ Moriwaki 森脇 モリワキ Shimpei 晋平 シンペイ 島根県水産試験場 Ogawa, Yoshihiko 小川, 嘉彦 オガワ, ヨシヒコ Ogawa 小川 オガワ Yoshihiko 嘉彦 ヨシヒコ metadata only access This paper studies fluctuations in hydrographic features near the sea bottom on the continental shelf of the southwestern Japan Sea and its influence on demersal fish resources. The data used are derived from monthly hydrographic observations and monthly catch statistics of trawl fisheries operated in this region since 1972. On the shelf, a conspicuous thermal front occurs with the main thermocline crossing the sea-bottom throughout whole seasons. Location of the thermal front varies with the season and the year, causing considerable variations in the environment of the near-bottom layers. Distributions of demersal fishes change in conformity with fluctuations in the "Bottom Cold Water"; The distribution area of cold-water species such as pollock (Theragra chalcogramma) and plaice(Cleisthenes pinetorum herzensteini) expands their distribution while that of warm-water species such as blackthroat seaperch (Doedeleinia becyoides) shrinks when the "Bottom Cold Water" grows, and vice versa.
