三河湾一色干潟におけるアナアオサの現存量,成長率及びその制限因子 Ulva pertusa Biomass, Growth Rate and its Limiting Factors in an Intertidal Flat Matsukawa, Yasuo 2688 松川, 康夫 マツカワ, ヤスオ Umebayashi, Osamu 3886 梅林, 脩 ウメバヤシ, オサム The Ulva pertusa vegetation density in the Issiki intertidal flat (about 10km²) of Mikawa Bay, Japan was observed visually and quadrately four times in 1986, following our previous work (1987) in 1985, for a further investigation of the biomass, growth rate and its limiting factors. The dry/wet weight ratio was about 1/10 which is equal to that of 1985. In September probably at the maximum, the vegetation density was very thin (about 100g dry/m²) and also the biomass was very small (about 100ton dry) compared with those of 1985 (about 300g dry/m² and 1,000ton dry) probably due to some artificial disturbances and unfavourable climatic conditions. The growth rate estimated from the biomass change was 7 to 25% corresponding to the vegetation density level from above to below of several tens of g dry/m², respectively, namely large in young stage and in high water temperature.
