<dc:subject>tank test; sand transport; acceleration; wave velocity; transport rate formula</dc:subject>
<dc:description>The littoral deformation influences the environment for benthoses. This is a study on the sand transport by using two dimensional tank. When the sand slope is attacked by waves, the sand move to one direction. To confirm the relation between sand transport rate and wave velocity, namely, the relation q~A ·c, the tests were examined. 1. The relation q/d2~umc/(gdT) showed high correlation. 2. The amplitude of velocity of the water, measured every one hour, varied, perhaps by deformation of sand slope. 3. When average values, measured extend over more than 30 hours, are used, the relations between each value are made clear. Where q is sand transport rate, T: the period, d: diameter of a sand, Um : amplitude of velocity, c: wave-velocity, g : acceleration of gravity, A : strength (~um/T in this case).</dc:description>
