| 内容記述 | Changes in body weight, hematocrit value and drinking rate were examined during the spawning period in female masu salmon Oncorhynchus masou. Body weight gradually increased until the time of ovulation, followed by a sharp decline of about 4% of body weight during the four days following ovulation. Hematocrit values were low before ovulation and increased steadily after ovulation. On the other hand, there was no change in the drinking rate before and after ovulation. The volumetric ratio of water used for coelomic fluid production to oocyte hydration was estimated to be about 3: 1. These results suggest that there is water ingestion by a mechanism other than drinking, with water movement via circulation associated with coelomic fluid production and oocyte hydration. | |||||||||||||||||
