Those were a 12.6mm standard length Rexea prometheoides and a 25.0mm standard length Nealotus tripes which were collected with a 2m diameter, 0.5mm mesh ichthyoplankton net and were the first recorded occurrence of the gempylid larvae in the Tsushima current.
