Covered-net experiments were carried out by a shrimp beam trawl with codends of six mesh sizes (16.5, 19.9, 22.1, 25.1, 46.1 and 69.3 mm). The mesh size of the used cover-net was 13.8 mm. The respective mesh selcetivities for three species were obtained against carapace length. Both mesh selectivities of tora velvet shrimp M. acclivis and kishi velvet shrimp M. dalei were remark- ably similar to that of southern rough shrimp previously reported.
