| 内容記述 | The accomplishment of an effective anesthetizer to immobilize shrimps temporarily for various research procedures such as weighing, tagging, measuring, photographing, etc. has been expected. As it is said that Eugenol has the anesthetic effect to shrimps, this substance was examined for Kuruma prawn, Penaeus japonicus BATE, and following results were obtained. 1) Juveniles of the prawn were anesthtized in a short time in sea water containing over 200 ppm of Eugenol, when the substance was prepared as the mixture of following formula *; Eugenol1 0.7 g Lauryl sodium sulfate 5.0 g Sodium pyrosulfite 0.1 g Methanol 42.8 ml Distilled water 55.5 ml 2) The useful range of the concentration was 50 to 200 ppm as Eugenol in the case of the prawn. 3) The higher concentration and higher water temperature remarkably shortened the time required for anesthesia. 4) The recovery from anesthesia showed a tendency to require longer time after longer exposure condition, but the most prawns recovered within 1 hour except low water temperature cases. 5) Starvation, molting and low chlorinity of the environmental medium effected to the reduction of the time required for anesthesia. It seems that the physiological conditions which increase the water contents of prawn bodies induce the shortening of the time required for anesthesia. 6) To examine the effects of the anesthesic treatment to the growth and survival of the juveniles, the experiments were carried out extending over 20 days. It was appeared that the anesthetic treatment had no serious effect on the growth and survival of the juveniles in comparison with control. From these results, it is concluded that Eugenol can be applicable to Kuruma prawn juveniles effectively and safely as an anesthetizer with the formula stated above. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | オイゲノールを主成分とした麻酔剤を用いて,これのクルマエビ稚仔に対する麻酔特性に関して若干の検討を行ない,次のような結果を得た。(1) 稚エビの麻酔徴候を麻酔液浸漬後の行動経過から5段階に分けた。a) 正常の歩匐又は遊泳行動b) 容器壁に沿って垂直に動くc) 平衡を失ない横臥し,そのまま旋回する行動を示す。d) 鰓,心臓の動きのみが認められ,平衡を失なって全く動かない。e) 鰓,心臓の動きが停止する。麻酔状態とはd)の状態を意味する。(2) この実験に用いた組成のオイゲノールを主体とした麻酔剤を稚エビに適用する場合の濃度は,1/500から1/2,000の範囲にあり,濃度が大きいほど,麻酔所要時間は短かく,その個体差も小さい。この実用範囲では,麻酔徴候段階b),c),d)で長時間保つことは難かしく放置すれば必らずe)に移行したうえで斃死する。(3) 麻酔液への浸漬時間が長いほど回復時間はおくれ,また,個体間の回復時間のばらつきは大きくなる。実用濃度ではほとんどの個体は1時間以内に回復する。(4) 麻酔温度は,麻酔所要時間に大きく影響し,高い温度では麻酔時間が短縮され,個体差も小さくなる。(5) 麻酔所要時間は条件によって異なるが,脱皮,低成長段階, 低塩分,飢餓などの要因は麻酔所要時間を短縮させることが明らかとなった。これらの要因に対応した稚エビの生理的状態は,含水量が高い場合であると推測した。(6) 麻酔液に稚エビを浸漬して後20日間の成長試験を行なったが,対照と比較して成長,生残率に大きな差を生ずることはなかった。これらの結果から,本麻酔剤は,濃度,浸漬時間,温度などの条件を十分考慮して使用すれば,クルマェビに関しては計測,手術等の場合に有効な手段として利用できる。 | |||||||||||||||||||||||
