The results were summerrized as follows ; (I. Annual changes of water temperature and salinity in the Inland Sea coincide generally with those of the coastal regions of the Pacific Ocean, but some differences were seen between those at two entrances of the sea as shown in Fig. 3 and Table2. By such differences, the Inland Sea may be divided into two parts. (Fig. 4 and Table 3.) (2). On the standpoint of the influence of offshore water which is distinguished from the smoothness of the annual curves for salinity changes, it is found that the influence from the Bung Suido is of more effective to the Inland Sea than that from the Kii Suido. (3). 4 to 5, 6 and 7 year cycles are found in the long year variations of temperature and salinity in the offshore and the Inland Sea water from the annual mean values and by periodogram analysis of them.
