| 内容記述 | Bis (tributyltin) oxide (TBTO) had been widely used as an active ingredient of antifouling paints. Recently, the toxicity of TBTO has caused public discussions. Therefore, acute toxicity of TBTO was tested on girella. The 48-hour median lethal concentration (LCso) was 5.2 ppd, and the 96-h LCso was 3. 2 ppb. Test solutions were renewed every 24 hours, and TBTO contents in seawater were determined initially and finally. Final contents decreased about 60% of initial values. Our LCso values were much lower than previous by reported ones (48-h LCso = 94 ppb : same species). Probably, this difference was attributed to the complex TBTO behaviour in experimental seawater. In the concentration over 3 ppb, girella lay down on the bottom, stopped operculer movement, and died without agitation. It seemed that they were paralyzed with TBTO. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 荒崎地先産のメジナ当歳魚(体重2.4g,体長4.4cm)を用いてTBTOの急性毒性試験を行った。試験水の TBTOの実測値より LCso値を推定した結果,48時間LCso値は5.2ppb,96 時間LCso 値は3.2ppbであった。TBTOの急性毒性により,メジナは麻痺したように行動が鈍化し,水槽の底に横臥し,やがて死亡した。 | |||||
