| 内容記述 | This analysis attempted to estimate consumption of marine products by age class and sex, using data on monthly consumption or expenditure of household for various marine food items. The original data computerized in this analysis were obtained from statistics investigated by Statistics Bureau of Prime Minister's Office during 1984, which amounted to 35, 157 samples. To allocate the amount of monthly consumption to those by age class and sex, employed was a technique of multiple regression analysis, taking age and sex compositions of each household as independent variables and amount of monthly consumption by food item of each household as dependent variables. The outcome of the computation resulted in reasonable estimates except a few food items, in which data coverages were low. It was indicated that there was a tendency of higher consumption of overall marine products, except fish sausage, by advanced age classes. This is remarkable contrast to higher consumption of pork and chicken by younger generation. In general, male consumes more marine products than female does. Especially tuna and saury are consumed much higher by male, whereas oyster and dried laver are consumed more by female. | |||||||||||
