| 内容記述 | As mentioned in the previous paper, riboflavin tetrabutyrate (B₂-But₄) is said to have retentive and antioxidative properties in vivo. This substance, therefore, is probably useful for fish diet. The diet supplemented with 12 mg of B₂-But₄ was fed to yellowtail (Seriola quinqueradiata TEMMINCK & SCHLEGEL). Five hours after feeding, riboflavin content in the blood and liver increased and its level in the liver was retained even 25 hours after feeding. Riboflavin tetrabutyrate was detected in various organs (liver, kidney, spleen, pyloric caecum and gall juice) of rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri RICHARDSON) fed with diet containing 100mg of B₂-But₄ per day for 8 days, 24, 48, and even 72 hours after the last feeding. These results indicated that riboflavin tetrabutyrate was absorbed and retained in the tissues of fish as ester form, and then hydrolyzed to riboflavin in the tissues, as reported for terrestrial animals. | |||||
