| 内容記述 | The irradiated sea water with ultraviolet rays is essential to the artificial spawning as reported before in the first series of this study by authors (1974). In this report, the effect of irradiated sea water with U.V. rays on inducing the spawn of the abalone without any other physical stimuli in artificial spawning is presented. A stimulus of irradiated sea water with U.V. rays come obviously into effect to induce the spawning of the abalone, Haliotis discus hannai Ino. Response which means the time required for spawning occurrence from the beginning of the stimulus, become more sensitive with the increase of U.V. rays irradiation to the sea water. At 800 milli watt-hour per litter of irradiation, the effect is strong enough. The response appeared in 3 hours 18 minutes on the male and 2 hours 42 minutes on the female soon after stimulus. There is no harm caused by the irradiated sea water with U.V. rays to the adults abalone and in their early life. It is uncertain why the irradiated sea water with U.V. rays effects the spawning of the abalone. We suppose that some materials in sea water irradiated with U.V. rays are changed into new ones which have an ability to make spawning of the abalone easier by photochemical reactions. The effect of irradiated sea water with U.V. rays to induce the spawning artificially is not only in H. discus hanni Ino, but also in H. gigantea, H. discus and scallop, Chlamys farreri nipponensis (authors: unpublished). We now take this method into considerations a sure artificial spawning technique for species of Gastropoda and Bivalvia. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 紫外線照射海水の成熟アワビに対する産卵誘発効果について実験し,次の結果をえた.1. 産卵誘発に用いる海水に紫外線流水殺菌器を用いて紫外線を照射すると,成熟したアワビの産卵を誘発する能力が付加される.2. 紫外線照射海水の産卵誘発効果は極めて著しく,800 mWh/lの照射量のとき,雌は平均3時間18分,雄は平均2時間42分で生殖巣の放出が開始された.3. 紫外線照射量の増加に伴なって,生殖素の放出開始までの時間が短縮する傾向がみられる.4. 紫外線照射海水の効果によって放出されたアワビの生殖素は正常であり,有害性は認められない. | |||||
