| 内容記述 | The present survey aimed at identifying walleye pollach subpopulations in the waters ranging from around Japan to the Gulf of Alaska by means of allometric and morphometric comparisons. When allometric curves were plotted inflection points appeared at 22 cm body length for body height otolith length and pectoral fin length and at 28 cm body length for ventral fins (males only). Males over 10 cm body length have longer ventral fins than similar sized females. In larger fish (over 30 cm body length) the males have longer pectoral fins than the females and this sexual dimorphism appears to be accompanied by gonad maturation. Using allometric and morphometric criteria, there appears to be seven subpopulatios in the waters adjacent to Japan. Three of these are in the Japan Sea off (1) northwestern Honshu, (2) western Hokkaido and (3) Pormorskaya. Along the Pacific west of Japan there are two subpopulations inhabiting the waters off (4) southern Hokkaido and northern Honshu and (5) southern Kuril. Two more subpopulations occur in (6) the southwestern and (7) the northern Okhotsk Sea. Other subpopulations suggested by the present investigations are distributed in the waters (8) around the Kamchatka Peninsula, (9) in the eastern Bering Sea, (10) in the Gulf of Alaska and (11) along the western coast of Canada. There may also be separate northern and western populations in the northwestern Honshu area. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 日本海·日本近海太平洋·オホーツク海·カムチャッカ半島周辺·ベーリング海およびアラスカ湾の各水域から採集されたスケトウダラ標本について形態測定をおこない,相対生長と体長比について各漁場群間の比較をもとに系統群について若干の考察をおこなった.1. 体長22cm付近には体高·耳石長·胸びれ長に,体長28cm付近には腹びれ長(古)にそれぞれ変曲点が認められる.2. 腹びれ長は体長10cm以上,胸びれ長は体長30cm以上に離雄差が認められる. 雄の腹びれ長は性成熟が近づくにつれて相対的に長くなって雌雄差が大きくなる.3. 検討した結果,次の10の系統群が想定された.沿海州系統群,北海道日本海系統群,本州北部日本海系統群,南千島系統群,北海道南部·本州北部系統群,オホーツク海南西部系統群,オホーツク海北部系統群,カムチャッカ半島系統群,ベーリング海東部系統群,アラスカ湾系統群. | |||||
