| 内容記述 | Undaria pinnatifida is generally classified into two forms as f. typica (inside bay type) and f. distans (outside bay type) in accordance with their morphological differences. In order to determine whether or not this difference in morphology is determined by genetic factors, the two different types were cultured on the same aquaculture raft and the important morphological characteristics of the harvested individuals were compared. To insure the homogeneity of cultured thalli, young F1 sporophytes were prepared from one male and female gametophyte of each parental type, which were homogenized and propagated vegetatively. The ratio of three morphological characteristics, i.e. the longest length between basal top of the incision and midrib, the width of the midrib and the length of the longest pinnate blade versus total length were chosen as the criteria for comparison between the two plant types. Each mean value obtained for f. typica is larger than that of f. distans. This finding is also true for the respective parental types. The stipe length which had hitherto been considered an effective distinguishing characteristic of the two forms was found to be variable. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | ワカメ Undaria pinnatifida(HARVEY) SURINGAR はその形態的特徴から,一般には,ワカメf. typicaYENDO(内湾型)とナンブワカメf. distans MIYABE et OKAMURA(外海型)に分けられる.この形態の違いについて遺伝的要因が関与しているかどうかを知る目的で,ワカメの形態を示す3個体とナンブワカメの形態を示す2個体を母藻として,それぞれの遊走子を得,第1代の胞子体を海面にて養殖し,その形態的特徴について計測比較した.実験に際し,供試藻体に遺伝的均一性を持たせるため,各々1つの母藻からは雌堆それぞれ1配偶体のみを用意し,これを細切して栄養的に繁殖させ,その後自殖させ養殖種苗とした.形質のうち,体長に対する栄養葉の中肋欠刻間の最大長および体長に対する中肋幅が共に遺伝的に安定した値として得られ,それぞれの母藻と同様にワカメでは大きな,そしてナンブワカメでは小さな値として2型の間で明らかに区別ができた,体長に対する最大葉片長(体幅)の値は個体間のバラツキが大きく現われたが,2型を区別することはできる.従来2型の特性として示されている茎長については今回の結果では有意な差は認められず,両型を識別するための形質として不適であった. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
