| 内容記述 | Shell movement of ark shell Scapharca broughtonii and pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas kept under virtually natural condition were measured by strain-gauge method and attention was paid to flucutation of the shell-openning degree at active time and the resting or shell-closing state on the records. Periodicity resemble to daily or tidal change was observed in the former of each species. For the latter, there is a little differences in the frequency of the occurrence between two species, that is, shell closing appears once or twice per a day for pacific oyster in contrast to ark shell for which fairly many days of nonoccurrence are seen. Also, a daily periodicity and nature subject to tide are felt to underlie in appearing mode of the resting period of either species. | |||||||||||
