| 内容記述 | The characteristics of structural variation in an Eisenia bicyclis population were investigated by a systematic sampling method in the season of maximum biomass of each year from 1980 to 1982, in an experimental station of about one hectare size on the Jôban coast. The E. bicyclis population appeared in a belt at depths of 0 to 4 m. Higher density and biomass were recorded in shallower water in 1980. The distribution pattern of the E. bicyclis population was random in water shallower than 2 m, and contagious in water deeper than 2 m. High recruitment of E. bicyclis was observed especially below 2 m depth in 1981, when the lower limit of the vertical distribution of the E. bicyclis population extended to about 6 m. High density and biomass, and random distribution were observed below 2 m depth in 1982. E. bicyclis was always dominant in the water shallower than 2 m depth but marked changes of dominant species were found in deeper water. Dilophus okamurai, Undaria pinnatifida, E. bicyclis dominated in 1980, 1981 and 1982, respectively. High recruitment of E. bicyclis was observed in the year which recorded lower water temperatures during the germination period from March to July. The lower water temperature was derived from the First Oyashio branch that occasionally flows south and shore-ward in the period. | |||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | アラメ群落の構造的な変動の特性を明らかにするため,常盤沿岸の約1haのアラメ群落を対象に,1980年から1982年の3年間,現存量の年間極大期に,系統抽出法によって調査した.アラメ群落は,1980年には水深0~4mの範囲にみられ,浅みほど密度,現存量が高かった.水深2m以浅ではランダム分布またはランダム分布に近い集中分布を示し,2m以深では強い集中分布を示した.1981年には幼体が多数加入し,分布が水深6m近くまで拡大した.1982年になると水深2m以深でも密度,現存量が著しく上昇し,ランダム分布に近い集中分布になった.これにともない,水深2m以深における優占種は,当初フクリンアミジから,1981年にワカメ,1982年にはアラメへとかわった.このような変化を海況条件から検討すると,3~7月のアラメの萌出期に親潮第1分枝によって沿岸水が冷水化した場合にアラメの加入量が高いことがわかった.またこのような条件の年にはワカメも大量に繁茂する.アラメ群落は,海況条件によって加入量が異なるため,水深2~6mの間で分布下限の変化をともなった長期的な構造的変動を示すものと推察される. | |||||||||||||||||
