| 内容記述 | Toxification of scallops by diarrhetic shellfish poison (DSP) occurs in the Tohoku and Hokkaido area from late spring to summer every year and causes serious economic damage to the culture industry. This report describes some ecological aspects of the DSP-producing dinoflagellate, Dinophysis fortii, based on its seasonal and diurnal distribution in Kesennuma Bay, Miyagi Prefecture, in 1981. 1) D. fortii was abundant from late May to early July, when water temperature was 10~12℃. 2) Diurnal vertical migration was not observed. 3) D. fortii appeared in large numbers at the surface and in middle layers, and less so in the lower layers. From these results it is inferred that scallops containing little or no poison can be produced by culturing them on or near the bottom. 4) D. fortii undergoing cell division were not observed between midday and midnight, but were observed in abundance in the early morning. | |||||||

| 内容記述 | 1. 1981年2~12月にかけた観察からD. fortii の最盛期は5月下旬から7月上旬頃にあり,その時の水温は10~12℃ であった.2. D.fortii 出現のほぼ最盛期に当たる6月下旬に行った一昼夜連続観測では,D. fortii の鉛直移動は認められなかった.3. D.fortii は中層,表層に多く出現し,底層には少なかった.また,周日,底層に少ないことも確かめられたため,底層および近底層に二枚貝を着底させたり垂下することにより,無毒あるいは低毒貝を生産できる可能性が一層高くなったといえる.4. D. fortii が背縁でつながった分裂個体は朝の6~8時に多かった.一方,12~0時にかけては分裂個体は出現しなかった. | |||||||
