| 内容記述 | Body lengths of hatchery-raised saury larvae preserved in four fixatives, 2.5% glutaraldehyde, 5% formalin-seawater, Bouin's solution and 80% ethyl alcohol, were compared with live lengths of 2 age groups, 36 and 295 days after fixation. Preserved lengths of the larvae in 5% formalin-seawater and Bouin's solution were 10% shorter than the live lengths. No significant differences between the live and preserved lengths in 2.5% glutaraldehyde and 80% ethyl alcohol were observed. Correction factors of total and knob lengths between live and preserved specimens were calculated for each fixatives. | |||||||||||
