| 内容記述 | The present study, analyses the commercial catch records of the skipjack fishery by Purse-Seiners (PS) and Pole & Liners (PL) off the Pacific coast of Japan during 1987-1989 between 20°-40°N latitude and 120°-150° E longitude. The skipjack landings by these gear varied substantially both spatially and temporally. Although the fishery grounds of both the gears overlap, it is spatially separated at the beginning of the season. While the PS's catch of skipjack depends on the availability of tuna species, it's discernible to be independent for PL. According to the congregation of skipjack and as a consequence of their migratory habit three distinct zones and seasons were categorised from the south to the north of the region. Among the three years, maximum yields of skipjack were recorded in 1988 reaching a peak from June to early August. PL catch was greater than PS in each year. The survival rate of skipjack in the PS fishery rarely exceeded two periods (ten days period) unlike evident for PL. The fishing mortality coefficients and exploitation rates for individual schools of fish was significantly higher by PS than PL. | |||||||

| 内容記述 | 北緯20°~40°,東経120°~150°の範囲における日本のカツオ漁業について,まき網と竿釣による漁獲の強さに関して比較分析を行った.カツオは産卵場が熱帯域にあり,この海域は主に未成魚の索餌北上群が対象となる.このため,まき網,竿釣りとも季節的な主漁場はほぼ同海域であるが,まき網はマグロ類が第1目標となるため,両者の獲り分けも若干は見られる.両魚法のCPUE変化から生残率を求め,群に対する漁獲率を推定した.1987年~89年の3ヶ年について季節別の値を総合的に見ると,まき網の方が竿釣りよりも群に対する漁獲率は高い.近年まき網が急増してきたが,全体の漁獲量は竿釣りの方がまだ多いので,資源に対するトータルな圧力は竿釣りの方が高いと見られる. | |||||||
