| 内容記述 | The rock fish, Sebastiscus marmoratus was immunized with sheep red blood cells (SRBC) and kinetics of antibody response was studied by the appearances of circulating antibodies and hemolysin plaque-forming cells. Antibody response depended on the concentration of antigen, dosage, and frequency of antigen administration. However, minimum antigen was needed to elicit the immune response. No significant difference was found among immune responses by the three routes; intraperitoneal, intravenous, and subcutaenous. Both the plaque-forming cells and circulating antibodies appeared 5 days after immunization. Number of plaque-forming cells reached the maximum value 12 days after immunization, followed by a rapid decrease thereafter. On the other hand, haemaggulutination titer attained to the peak value 14 days after the immunization and the high level of the titer was maintained until 8 month after the first injection. Following the second injection of the antigen, specific anamnestic responses such as increased production of serum antibody and shortening of the period needed to reach to the highest response were observed. | |||||
