Antibody response depended on the concentration of antigen, dosage, and frequency of antigen administration. However, minimum antigen was needed to elicit the immune response. No significant difference was found among immune responses by the three routes; intraperitoneal, intravenous, and subcutaenous. Both the plaque-forming cells and circulating antibodies appeared 5 days after immunization. Number of plaque-forming cells reached the maximum value 12 days after immunization, followed by a rapid decrease thereafter. On the other hand, haemaggulutination titer attained to the peak value 14 days after the immunization and the high level of the titer was maintained until 8 month after the first injection.
