| 内容記述 | Seasonal and vertical distributions of attached micro-algal communities on the artificial seagrasses in Ago Bay were investigated for two years from September, 1980, to November, 1982. Cell densities of attached micro-algae were maximum in autumn-winter, and minimum in summer. The major dominant groups were diatoms, that is, Donkinia reacta and Gomphonema sp. in spring; Caloneis sp. in early summer; Trigonium formosum and Pleurosigma spp. in summer; Dictyocha fibula (Silicoflagellate) in early autumn; Skeletonema costatum, Synedra fulgens and Asterionella notata in autumn; Licmophora flabellata in late autumn; Grammatophora marina in winter; Achnanthes brevipes and Licmophora spp. (L. paradoxa and L. Ehrenbergii) in late winter. Occurrence of 39 taxa of attached micro-algae were also described. From the vertical distributional patterns of attached micro-algae on the artificial seagrasses, the taxa were divided into four types, that is, upper layer, middle layer, bottom layer and all round groups. Several dominant attached diatoms were observed particularly at the early stage (Early Type: Synedra fulgens, Climacosphenia moniligera, Cyclophora tenuis, Gomphonema sp. and Licmophora flabellata) or late stage (Late Type: Diploneis spp. and Donkinia reacta) of epiphytic succession on the artificial seagrasses. The results obtained in this study were discussed in comparison with other reports by many investigators. | |||||
