| 内容記述 | A 4-week feeding study was conducted using chum salmon Oncorhynchus keta fingerlings to test effects of methanol treatment and amino acid supplementation on utilization of soy flour. Isonitrogenous replacement of 77% of fish meal with the methanol treated or untreated soy flour resulted in weight gain of less than 1/3 of control group fed a fish meal-torula yeast diet, even though they consumed more feed than the control group. Methanol treatment slightly but significantly improved the growth rate only when the essential amino acids were also supplemented but failed to show any significant effects on food consumption, feed efficiency, the whole body composition and % protein deposition. Supplementation of the essential amino acid improved efficiency and % protein deposition, in addition to the growth enhancement. | |||||||||||
