Fourty days after the immunization the blood was taken and agglutinin activity to A. salmonicida and hemolytic activity to SRBC were measured in non-treated and heat treated (45℃ for 30 minutes) serum. Fairly high agglutinin activities were observed in the serum of kokanee immunized with A. salmonicida. Heat treatment on the serum did not produce appreciable change in agglutinin activity although hemolytic activity disappeared by the treatment. On the other hand, for the serum of SRBC immunized and non-immunized, both activities of agglutinin and hemolysin completely disappeared by the heat treatment, though low levels of both activities were found in the non-treated serum. These results suggest that low agglutinin activity of the serum of non-immunized kokanee which disappeared by the heat treatment is mainly contributed by the complement.
