| 内容記述 | Induction of ovarian maturation in Penaeus vannamei, by injection of brain extract prepared from female lobster, Homarus americanus, with developing ovaries was investigated under tank culture conditions. Five of eight females with brain extract injection were maturing while only two of eighteen females of the control groups with abdominal ganglion or saline injection matured. Two females at stage V were found 17 days after injection of the lobster's brain extract. This indicates that ovarian maturation of P. vannamei in tanks can be induced and accelerated by injection of brain extract prepared from maturing females of another species. Ovarian maturation may be induced by a brain hormone which stimulates the releasing of a gonad-stimulating hormone from the thoracic ganglion. Therefore, a gonad-stimulating hormone-releasing hormone (GSH-RH) is nominated as a possible hormone type in the brain responsible for ovarian maturation in the shrimp. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | 水槽中で,クルマエビ属Penaeus vannamei に,発達した卵巣を持つ雄ロブスター(Homarus americanus)の脳抽出液を投与して,卵巣の成熟誘発を試みた。その結果,ロブスターの脳抽出液を投与した Penaeus vannamei 8尾中5尾が成熟したが,腹部神経節或は生理食塩水を投与した18尾は2尾しか成熟しなかった。また,産卵可能な stage V の成熟し肥大した卵巣を持つ雌2尾が脳抽出液投与後17日目に認められた。この結果,Penaeus vannamei の卵巣成熟は,発達した卵巣を持つ他の種類の脳抽出液を投与することによって誘発できることが明らかになった。エビにおいては,脳は胸部神経節から分泌されている性腺刺激ホルモン(GSH)の放出を促すホルモン(GSH-RH)を分泌し,卵巣成熟を誘発していることが示唆された。 | |||||||||||
