Like the CDC of the European species Lymnaea stagnalis, which had already been reported, those of this species showed neither affinity for paraldehyde-fuchsin nor for chrome hematoxylin in the common procedures of the neurosecretory staining and they had also the characteristic Nissl disks concentrically arranged in the cytoplasm.
