The method is carried out with numerical calculation, and it is composed of various computer programs. They are potential double model flow calculation by Hess-smith's method, thrust deduction calculation by Lagally's theorem with Dickman's propeller model, potential hull surface streamline calculation, three dimensional turblent boundary layer calculation by Tanaka-Himeno's method, and wave making resistance calculation by modified Michell's theory. By using these systematized calculation programs, various characteristics of propulsive performance, which are closely related to the aft form of ships, are evaluated analytically and synthetically. Furthermore, a program to change systematically both prismatic curve and frame lines of aft hull part is included in this system, and the relation between the aft form and the propulsive performance is effectively investigated by utilizing this optional program.
