| 内容記述 | Floating Breakwater is a floating wave-extinguishing facility for improving ocean wave conditions, which was developed mainly to aim at the enlargement of existing fish culture fields and the construction of new fishing fieids. The facilities have been constructed in mainly inland water areas in Kyushu and the Seto Inland Sea since 1977. It was reported from local group involved in fisheries that fish gathered, seaweed took root, and that various useful organisms lived in floating breakwaters. Based on this information, this survey has been conducted to clarify the organism growth function of these facilities. This paper reports the survey results in Ushibuka district and Goshoura district in Kumamoto Prefecture, and Aba district in Nagasaki Prefecture, as well as discusses the effects of installed site and the cross-sectional shape of floating breakwaters on the species and quantities of inhabiting orgnisms. | |||||
