Odawara Fishing Port has such troubles as the following. (1) In the case of storms such as typhoons overtopping on the breakwater is heavy. (2) The water wave overflows on the inclined warf or quay, especially at Old Basin. (3) Both New Basin and Old One are not calm enough to moor fishingboats to the quay. Therefore, at the time of storms fishermen have to anchor their boats in near fishing ports.
