| 内容記述 | Quadrat samples were taken at the rocky fishing ground at Aonotaki, Iwate, in 1983 and in 1984. The area was abundant in sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus nudus and abalone, Haliotis discus hannai INO. Two numerical methods applied to presence-absence data were used to analyse the benthic communities composed of animals and algae. The one was group-average sorting method used with Czekanowski's coefficient and the other wasinformation-analysis. The results indicated that in 1983, when kelp was relatively poor and various small seaweeds appeared, there exited zonation of benthic communities and that in 1984, when kelp was rich, there was localization in addition to zonation. Comparison between two metods indicated that information-analysis is superior in regards to homogeneity in each cluster and objectivity of gouping. | |||||||||||
