Aquaculture and fishing port","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_10002_description_5":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"There are 2, 900 fishing ports all over Japan, Prior to the construction of a fishing port on the soft ground, soil surveys are always carried out. These soil survey reports are very valuable for studying engineering characteristics of the soft ground. The authors have collected soil survey reports of the construction works which were carried out in fishing port areas in Japan in the past several years and studied physical and mechanical properties of the soft ground. In the previous reports, Technical Report of N.R.I.F.E. Aquaculture and Fishing Port No. 4, 6, the correlations between physical and mechanical properties of the soft ground in Kyushu, Chugoku and Shikoku districts were presented. This report deals with the correlations between physical and mechanical properties of the soft ground in Chubu and Kinki districts. The following conclusions can be drawn: 1. In these districts as a whole, good correlations between the physical properties are not found. 2. Some regional differences are observed regarding the physical properties. 3. Some general trend is found regarding the relations between unconfined compres- sive strength, water content and plasticity index. 4.
