This study is aimed, by an experiment with a movable bed, at investigating the function of keeping water from overtopping of the remote absorber constructed on the steep slope, taking the example of Minabe Coast. The results are follows : 1. For the purpose of decreasing the overtopping amount, wave breaking needs to occur earlier and also at a farther distance by means of casting precast concrete armour blocks about 10 meters away from the front of the remote absorber already constructed. 2.
