Aquaculture and fishing port","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_10002_description_5":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"In order to clarify the bearing capacity and deformation characteristics of soft ground treated with the compacted sand piles, experiments were carried out using the model ground testing apparatus. In the experiments, two types of model tests without sand blocks and five types of model tests with various widths of sand blocks were conducted. From these experiments the following results are obtained. 1) The bearing capacity of the model ground is enhanced with an increase in the width of the sand blocks. Also, the bearing capacity of the model ground calculated by the slip circle method tends to conservative value in comparison with the experimental method. 2) The amount of lateral deformation of the model ground tended to increase by enhancement of the sand block, but the amount of heaving at the model ground's surface is little influenced.
