Seawater exchange in Uragou bay is influenced by a cyclic current which is formed in vicinity of the bay's mouth rather than by tides, and as a result, it is supposed that seawater exchange is very favorable up to 1 km from the bay's mouth. At the interior of the bay, seawater usually has a tendency to be stagnant but a strong current was found which could not be explaind, but it could be caused by wind, atmospheric pressure fluctuations, waves or so on.
