| 内容記述 | In designing rubble mound breakwater, the armor block weight is designed by Hudson's Formula. If wave height exceeds 10 m, calculated weight needs more than 100 tons. Use of such giant blocks will make some problems, first: shortage of strength of members, and second: the construction work, that is, no construction work with more than 80 tons blocks were done in Japan. As a counter-measure, to reduce block's weight by adoption of gentle slope, stability test, againt waves was carried out. The experimentation gets clear that changing gentle slope is not effective in low crest breakwater and it is necessary to increase block's strength with reinforced concrete. | |||||||||||
