However, it has been necessary to appraise stability of rocks because of bringing occasional loss of rocks in the heavy sea. Experimental study has been done to appraise stability of rocks against the bottom flow of breaking point. By experimental study to appraise stability of rocks, main results are as follows. (1) Both relations between design velocity and nondimensional breaking depth, and relations between stability of blocks and setting conditions of blocks have been clarified. (2) Zone in one fourth wave length from breaking point is as dangerous as breaking point.
