| 内容記述 | In the surfzone, much sediment movement takes place and most of the organisms are influenced. The change of beach profile and distribution of bivalves on the sandy beach were researched at the Hasaki Oceanographical Research Facility. Since December 1986, the beach profile has diurnally measured with lead and the sediment has been sampled with the Smith-McIntyre grab along the platform at monthly intervals. These samples were analyzed for particle size and macrofauna. A 0.5mm sieve was used for macrofauna separation. Number and shell length of bivalves were then recorded. Five main bivalve species were collected there. Meretrix lamarckii tended to be distributed on offshore side of the bar. Gomphina melanaegis was mainly distributed in trough, Mactra crossei distributed on the most offshore zone, and Chion dysoni semigranosus was on the shore line. Zonation was clearly observed, and the pattern was different in species and size. While most of bivalves were collected in fine sediment at accumulated or equilibrated zone, G. melanaegis was often collected in coarse sediment at eroded zone. | |||||
