| 内容記述 | A comparative examination on the two types of frog flounder, Pleuronichthys cornutus, "Honmeita" and "Bakemeita", in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, was undertaken to clarify age and growth structure. Histograms of the size composition of females and males of the two types collected in spawning season were divided into normal distributions. The mean of each normal distribution was considered to show the total length at full age and the Walford graphic method was applied to this data. Bertalanffy's growth equations can be shown as follows ; Female "Honmeita" : Lt=361.3 [1-exp {-0.226(t+1.510)}] Male "Honmeita": Lt=383.9[1-exp{-0.154(t+2.480)}] Female "Bakemeita": Lt=328.0 [1-exp {-0.163(t+2.213)}] Male "Bakemeita": Lt=233.5[1-exp{-0.464(t+0.716)}] or Lt=233.7[1-exp{-0.446(t+0.787)}] (Lt, total length; t, age) The growth of "Honmeita" is significantly faster than that of "Bakemeita". The growth of female of "Honmeita" is faster than that of male, although no difference was detected in the growth of female and male of "Bakemeita". | |||||
