| 内容記述 | Differences of catches and catch compositions between daytime and nighttime were examined based on the bottom trawl samplings in the East China Sea. Three pairs of daytime and nighttime tows were carried out, using trawl net with 66 mm mesh cod end and a double cover net consisting of cover net I (inner, 18 mm mesh) and II (outer, 10.3 mm mesh). In the case of catches of all the species included, the total weight and number of individuals of the daytime catches in cod end were higher than those of the nighttime ones, while the daytime catches in cover net II were significantly lower than the nighttime ones. As for catches by species in cod end, the weights and numbers of catches of Loligo edulis, Psenopsis anomala, Pampus echinogaster and Trichiurus lepturus were higher in the daytime than in the nighttime. On the other hand, those of Branchiostegus japonicus, Hoplobrotula armata, Metanephrops thomsoni, etc. were higher in the nighttime than in the daytime. No significant difference was observed between daytime and nighttime catches in the case of Ibacus ciliatus ciliatus, Doederleinia berycoides, etc.. It was suggested that differences of trawl catches between daytime and nighttime should be carefully taken into consideration to examine the stock conditions of groundfishes on the basis of trawl survey and to analyse the commercial catch data from this area for stock management purposes. | |||||
