| 内容記述 | Comparative examinations on two types of frog flounder, Pleuronichthys cornutus, in the East China Sea and the Yellow Sea, "Honmeita" and "Bakemeita (Nagaremeita)", were undertaken to clarify the distributional, morphological and genetic differences, using the specimens collected by the grid survey. "Honmeita" type was mainly distributed in the north of Lat. 28° N., and most of "Bakemeita" type was in the south of Lat. 30° N., including a wide overlapping area. The latter was collected at deeper and warmer stations. The average numbers of the dorsal, anal and pectoral fin rays in "Bakemeita" type were about 3, 4 and 0.4 fewer than in "Honmeita" type, respectively. The average number of the vertebrae in the former was about 1.4 fewer than in the latter. In "Honmeita" type, 97% of specimens had 13 or 14 abdominal vertebrae. On the other hand, 95% of specimens of "Bakemeita" type had 12. "Honmeita" type collected in the Yellow Sea had relatively fewer numbers of the meristic characters than in the East China Sea. Twenty-two loci were detected by electrophoretic analysis from 15 isozyme and non-enzymatic protein systems for two types which were identified by color pattern. Complete allelic divergence between the two types was found in 8 loci; Adh, Est, Ldh, Idh-2, Mdh, Me, Mpi and Sp-3. Significant difference in allele frequency between the two types was observed in 8 loci, Aat-2, aGpd-1, aGpd-2, Gpi-1, Idh-1, Pgm, 6Pgd and Sdh-1. The polymorphism was found in 14 loci for type A, and 7 loci in type B. There was no case that the observed number of phenotype does not accord with the number expected from HARDY-WEINBERG eguilibrium. The genetic distance between the two types was 0.924, suggesting that these two types represent distinct species. | |||||||||||
