| 内容記述 | Experiments were carried out at sea to investigate the effect of the open area ratio of plankton net on the filtration efficiency and yield, using six types of plankton nets having the same mouth area and mesh size but different filtering ratios. Clogging of the plankton net decreases the sampling efficiency. The highest filtration efficiency was attained when the plankton net had an open area ratio R= 7.2, and the efficiency decreased either above or below this value. The yield of plankton per one haul was proportional to the towing time. On the contrary, the yield of plankton did not increase with towing velocity increased from 1.5 to 3.0 knot. The yield of plankton collected from a unit volume of water filtered was less by the nets having large open area ratio than by those having small open area ratio. This difference was presumably due to the fact that the net having small open area ratio was much clogged by phytoplankton and other matter and accumulated more small organisms in the sea. The most suitable sampling conditions and net design were referred. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 沿岸水域において,網口面積と網地を統一した開口比の異なる6種類のネットで採集実験を行った.ネットの開口比の相違が濾水量と生物の採集量に及ぽす影響を検討するために,曳網速度と曳絶時間を組み合わせて動物プランクトン210標本を採集した.開口比が R=7.2のネットが最も濾過効率は高く,これより大きくても小さくても滤過効率は低下した.濾水量は曳網時間が長くなるとともに増加したが,同じ開口比のネットによる1曳網当り採集量は曳網速度が速くなっても増加しなかった.開口比が小さく濾過効率が小さいネットほど単位濾水量当りの採集量が多くなり,現場の生物量を反映しない結果になった.この現象は開口比の小さいネットがより多く目詰りを起し,より小さい生物を捕集した結果になったものと推測される.このため,プランクトンを採集する場合には,濾過予定水量と対象となるプランクトンの種類によってネットの口径,網地さらに開口比を決め,85%濾水量を超えないように採集することが肝要であると結論づけられた. | |||||
