All the six stages of nauplius of Acartia occurred throughout the water column from the surface to the mid layers at the two sites. Copepodites older than stage III, on the other hand, appeared in the layer with heights of 0.5m just above the sandy bottom and of 1m above the bottom throughout the eelgrass bed. The vertical distribution of Acartia changed drastically by metamorphosing from nauplius into copepodite, while copepodite stage I and II are likely in a transitional period during their ontogenetic specific distribution.
