いわゆる貝そうじの効果に関する研究の一環として,かご交換及び貝そうじ回数と附着生物の量的質的変化との関係について調べた。\n2) 英虞湾多徳島地先において第1表のような処理を行なったばあい,附着生物の各貝そうじ時における排水量の合計は,かご交換回数によっては有意の差を認めることができなかったが貝そうじの回数によっては差が認められ,その差は試験期間中貝そうじ1回以下のものと2回以上のものとの間にあった。\n3) 次に貝そうじの回数および時期による附着生物の種別の変化について,概要を述べた。そして,このうち特に量的に目ぼしかったフジツボ,アコヤガイ,カキ,カイメンおよび区分の困難であった「その他」の各貝そうじ時における排水量の合計について,同じくかご交換及び貝そうじ回数の差によるその差異の分散分析を行ない,次のような結果を得た。\ni) かご交換回数による差としては,カイメンおよびカキでは,それぞれかご交換0回と1回及び1回と2回との間で,回数が多くなるとその量が少なくなることが認められたが,フジツボでは,逆に0回と1回との間で1回の方が量も多くなることが認められた。\nii) 貝そうじ回数による差としては,0回と1回および1回と2回の間のアコヤガイ,カキ,フジツボ,ならびに貝そうじ2回と3回の間のカイメンについて,回数が多くなると量が小さくなるという,附着生物全量のばあいと同様のことが認められた。しかし,カイメンについての0回と1回の間および「その他」の同様の間には,前者と逆に貝そうじをしなかった方が量も少ないという結果が見られた。\n4)
