On 7 to 10 days after operation, completed pearl-sac were seen in the majority of specimens, and the deposition of the secretion products appeared on the surface of the inserted nucleus. On the other hand, the inner epithelium also had the faculty to produce an epithelium similar in shape to the pearl-sac but different in nature.
